Jean Bradshaw Baines, 75, passed away November 27, 2008. She was born in Suffolk, the daughter of the late Belle Dundalow and Walter Clarence Bradshaw. She was predeceased by her husband, Jasper “J.E.” Ernest Baines, Jr.

Jean worked for 36 years as a junior accountant in Suffolk, with Frank Sheffer and Associates. She was a lifetime member of Suffolk Christian Church and was a member of the Suffolk Pilot Club for many years.

Jean is survived by her daughter, Nancy B. Copeland; her son and daughter-in-law, Jay V. Baines, Sr., and Jeanie B. Baines, all of Suffolk, VA; her grandchildren, Kimberly Copeland Jones and her husband Michael, of Virginia Beach, VA, Jay V. Baines, Jr., of Suffolk, VA; her sister, Paige B. Poliseno, of Brockton, MA; her nieces and nephews, Karen Poliseno and Kim Poliseno Grant, Michael and Dean Poliseno; and her devoted lifelong friend Margaret Jackson Smith of Suffolk, VA.

A graveside service was December 1, 2008, at Newman Memorial Cemetery at Oakland Christian Church, with the Rev. Michael D. Halley officiating.
