SANDERS, LENA ALMETA - age 88 of Knoxville, Formerly of Salina, Kansas passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014. She enjoyed the fellowship she received from First Baptist Church Powell. Almeta fondly remembered the time she worked the phone switch boards during WWII. She loved to garden and be outside with nature. Almeta will be remembered by her family as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, William Harrison Sanders "Bill". Almeta is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Kevin Klotzbach and their children Jake and Caroline all of Knoxville; and son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Lori Sanders, and Joe's daughter Calleigh of Austin, Texas.

The family will receive friends from 9:30am - 11:00 am Thursday July 24th at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel. Family and friends will gather at Tennessee Veterans Cemetery Lyons View Thursday July 24th at 11:30am for a graveside service with Rev. Jim Waddell officiating.
