"Bert Cook, 74, of Spartansburg, RD 1, died Wednesday, Jan 21. He was born April 18, 1901, in Sparta Township at Britton Run, a son ot Stephen and Minnie Sherman Cook. Mr Cook had operated a farm in the area all his life. Survivors include two sons, Richard and Glenn Cook, both of Spartansburg; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A brother, Orrie Cook of Corry, died previously. Friends may call at the H Richard Hays Funeral Home in Spartansburg...and [may] attend the funeral there Saturday at 2 pm, with interment to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Spartansburg."
