Glenn R Ingram was born on April 25, 1928 in Terry, the son of Glenn Herschel and Winifred Lois Siegrist Ingram.  He was graduated from Terry High School as valedictorian of the Class of 1946.  He joined the Army that fall, serving for two years.  Upon his honorable discharge, he enrolled at MT State College and graduated with both a BS and MS in Mathematics,  While working on his Masters degree, he also taught at MSC.  He earned a Doctorate of Philosophy degree in Mathematics from WA State University in June of 1962.  He returned to MSC as Director of the Computing Center.  He worked for NSF on a Sigma 7 computer at MSU.  He divided his time between MSU, WSU and various government agencies and ended his career at the Bureau of Standards as the Chief of Scientific Computing.
While still in college, he married Eva Stewart of Helena.  Two children, Lois and Glenn were born to this union.  They later divorced. He married Ginger Colao of New Carollton MD and they made their home in Germantown MD, until July of 2000 when they moved to MT to be near family.
Glenn passed away on June 5, 2005 in Billings MT, of a massive stroke.  He was preceded in death  by his parents, his son, Glenn and his sister, Gladys Hellen Young.  He is survived by his wife, his daughter of NY City, several stepchildren and grandchildren; a sister, Eva (Bill) Chittick of Claremont CA, and former wife, Eva Stewart Bristol of Pullman WA.
