BOUCHER FUNERAL MASS TOMORROW
Droop Store to Be Closed in Morning for Prominent Musician.
Requiem mass for Frank X. Boucher, 74 years old, a prominent figure in the music trade of this city, will be said at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning at the Shrine of the Sacred Heart. Burial will be in the new mausoleum near Arlington. Mr. Boucher lived at 1324 Columbia road northwest.
Mr. Boucher was the son of the late William Boucher, jr., of Baltimore, who was one of the outstanding authorities on stringed instruments in this country. For some years he was associated with his father in Baltimore. In the early eighties he established himself in business in Atlanta, Ga. The business was successful, but the climate did not agree with him. He came north, and in 1887 became associated with the E. F. Droop & Sons Co. here, where for 40 years he had been general merchandise manager. It is said that he could play any band or orchestra instrument.
In respect to his memory the firm with which he was connected for so long will remain closed tomorrow morning until 1 o'clock. He was a member of the Board of Trade, the Association of the Oldest Inhabitants, the Holy Name society and the Columbia Heights Citizens association. Besides the widow, Mr. Boucher is survived by two sons, Milton J. Boucher and Edward H. D. Boucher, and three daughters, Mrs. J. J. A. Stoutenburgh and Mrs. F. C. H. Pilling, of Falls Church, Va.; Mrs. Trewhella, and five grandchildren.
