(4), Rebecca J. (2) and Vicey (1).

The 1880 census of June 7, revealed they were living in Mills Springs, Wayne County, Kentucky. James and his parents were born in Kentucky. Household members: James Gibson (30), Polyan (28), Rosey A. (15), George A. (13), Rebecky Jane (11), Allen S. (8), Joseph Allen (5) and James C. (2).

Mary was born in March 1850 and she and her parents were born in Tennessee. Mary could not read or write. Mary had twelve children and nine were still living. Household members: Mary A. Gibson (53), Sherman (25), Charley (20), Lonnie M. (17), Arthur (14) and Robert (12). Her son, Alfred and family lived two doors away.

The 1910 census of April 15, revealed Mary was living in Civil District 1, Roane County, Tennessee. Mary and her mother were born in Kentucky and her father was born in Tennessee. Mary could read but could not write. Mary had thirteen children and nine were still living. Household members: Mary A. Gibson (61), Arthur (20) and Robert (19). Her son, James C. lived next door.

Death Certificate revealed Polly Gibson was born June 10, 1848 in Kentucky and was a widow. Polly died at age 69 of Mitral insufficiency on June 27, 1917 in Black Gap, Roane County, Tennessee. Her parents, Allen Gibson and Becca Jane Henderson were born in Kentucky. Informant was her son, Arthur Gibson. Burial was in Emory Gap Cemetery in Roane County, Tennessee.

The Roane County Heritage Commission could not find an obituary for her.

Mary lived to age 69.
