Ivan Neil Wolf age 95 of Lancaster passed away 11 December 2007. Born on August 22, 1912 in Lane County, Kansas. He was the son of Chet and Pearl Wolf. He married the love of his life Flora Fae Peasley on December 20, 1936, in Guymon, Oklahoma. In 1937 after becoming tired of the dust in Kansas they loaded all their possessions and drove to California. He farmed and did a lot of odd jobs before getting a job with Westside Union School as the head of the transportation department in 1944. He later retired from the school district in 1968 and opened Del Sur Gardens. Neil spent a lot of time at Del Sur Gardens making it a place for families by holding dances, parties, bbqs, calf roping and Gymkhanas. In 1981 Neil again retired but after 4 years got tired of retirement and went to work at H&E Home Center until 1992 when his health made him retire for good. Neil and Flora Fae together had 3 children and were very involved in their lives. Neil was a life member of Del Sur PTA and was a 4H leader for years. Family meant everything to Neil and there wasn't anything he wouldn't do for them. He along with his jokes and stories will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his sister Lois McKay of Hilo, Hawaii; Jane Hall of Edison, Washington; daughter Bonnie Abbott of Boise Idaho; son and partner Marvin Wolf and Barb Joseph of Meridian, Idaho and son and daughter-in-law Keith and Sherry Wolf of Lancaster with whom he lived with for the past nine years, 7 grandchildren David (Michelle) Peters of Boise Idaho; Danee Haro of Nampa, Idaho; Becky (Scott)Stockham of Swannanoa, N.C.; Todd (Yvonne) Wolf of Meridian Idaho; Hannah Mink of Meridian Idaho; Shelley (Lance) Johnson of Lancaster and Kari (Steve)Munoz of Tehachapi and 20 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Flora Fae, two brothers Milton and Carl Wolf and a granddaughter Kelly Peters. Graveside services will be held at 11am Friday, December 28, 2007 at Joshua Memorial Park and Mortuary 808 E Lancaster Blvd, Lancaster.
