Charles A. Bryant Jr., 84, passed away Wednesday at his home in Vallejo.

Charles Jr. was born to Charles Sr. and Annie Bryant on Nov. 30, 1925 in Houston, Texas, and has lived in Vallejo for the past 48 years. He retired from the U.S. Navy with honors after 24 years of service and worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Oakland for 24 years.

Survivors include his wife, Jeannette; daughters, Dona Bariece (Bryant) Hodges and Kairis Joy Colter-Burt; and sons, Donnie (Dune) Colter and Jamal Colter.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Twin Chapels Mortuary, 1100 Tennessee St., Vallejo. Inurnment with full military honors will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Sacramento Valley VA National Cemetery, Dixon.

Arrangements are under the direction and care of Twin Chapels Mortuary, Vallejo, (707) 552-6696
