Train-Car Crash Kills 2 Sisters

Father of Girls Said Near Death

FOREST, June 25 - Two members of a Hancock-co family were dead today and a third was near death in a Kenton hospital as the result of a train-auto crash here yesterday.

Madeline Muriel Musgrave, 16, and her sister, Marjie Ellen Musgrave, 13, were killed instantly in the crash.

The father, Harvey Musgrave, suffered a severe concussion of the brain. His condition was reported as critical late this morning by the attaches of San Antonio hospital, Kenton.

Mrs. Musgrave and a son, Lowell, 7, also were in the car but escaped injury.

The family automobile, driven by the father, was hit at the Zimmerman-st crossing in Forest at 2:28 p.m. yesterday by a New York Central passenger train.

Hardin-co Coroner John A. Mooney, Kenton, returned a verdict of accidental death.

Besides their parents, the sisters are survived by the following brothers and sisters, Lawrence E., Petersburg, Mich.; Lyston D., Arlington; Lloyd G., Findlay and Lowell, at home; Mrs. Marguerite Getz, Dunkirk; Mrs. Marcella Johnson, Waynesfield; Mrs. Leeth, Forest, and Mrs. Maxine Price, Toledo.

The girls were members of the Union Chapel church, west of Forest, where a double funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. J. J. Anglemeyer will officiate with burial in the Hueston cemetery. The bodies will remain in the Shields funeral home, Forest, until time for services.
