WATERBURY — Mrs. Diana M. Daniels, age 75, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, at The Village Green of Waterbury, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. She was the widow of Milton Daniels Sr.

Mrs. Daniels was born Nov. 21, 1938, in Waterbury, the daughter of the late John Adamek and Juliette (Hamel) (Adamek) Jones. A lifelong Waterbury resident, she was a graduate of Waterbury Catholic High School and received her nursing degree from Saint Mary's School of Nursing.

Diana spent many years working as a registered nurse at various nursing facilities in the Greater Waterbury area and retired from Watertown Convalarium.

She was a member of the Waterbury Senior Center and enjoyed gardening and keeping up to date with current events by reading the daily paper as well as watching her daily soap operas on TV. What brought the greatest joy to Diana was spending time with her grandchildren.

Among her survivors are her children, Milton Daniels Jr, of Rocky Hill, Debra Daniels of Wolcott, Donna-Jean Lavoie and her husband, Robert, of Plantsville, and her grandchildren, Justin Daniels and Amanda Lavoie.

Funeral services for Mrs. Daniels will be held on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014, at 10 a.m. at Eastside Memorial "A Casey Family Funeral Home and Tribute Center," 1987 East Main St. at Southmayd Road, in Waterbury. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Watertown.

Relatives and friends may visit with Diana's family on Thursday morning at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.

Memorial donations in memory of Mrs. Daniels can be made to the Waterbury Senior Center, c/o City of Waterbury, "For the benefit of the Waterbury Senior Center," 1985 East Main St., Waterbury, CT 06705.
