Doris Woodruff, 74, of Maumelle passed away Saturday, November 15, 2014. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Maumelle. She worked as a Registered Nurse for over 40 years. While working at Harris Hospital in Newport, she served as Director of Nursing, Supervisor of OR/Recovery, OB, ER and Medical/Surgical.
She was a loving mom and grandma. She is survived by her two children, Denver Wayne Woodruff, of Gulfport, Mississippi and Jabetta Woodruff Barnhart (Donnie) of North Little Rock; three grandchildren, Taylor, Tanner and Tara Barnhart; and her sister, Linnie Edwards (Chuck) of Houston, Texas.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Wayne Woodruff; her parents, Earl and Grace Smith Lackey; and her siblings, Jo McGowan Hays, Florence Lackey Bourne, Bernice Lackey Wood, John Edward Lackey and George Thomas Lackey.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Smith – North Little Rock Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at the funeral home. A graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday at Ballews Chapel cemetery in Grubbs, Arkansas.
