William was survived by his wife, the former Stella Frankenstein, whom he married on 10 Oct. 1904 in Hamilton County, Ohio.

"LONG-TIME RESIDENT DIES AT 85 — W. T. Andress, 85, a longtime resident, died Thursday at his home, 5146 Yoland Lane, after a long illness. Andress and his wife, who survives, had celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary in 1954. He is also survived by two sons, William Andress Jr. of Dallas and Robert J. Andress of Tulsa, Okla.; a sister, Mrs. Lola A. Selkirk of Dallas; and two grandchildren. A native of Hempstead, Waller County, he moved to Dallas in 1911. He operated the Seegar Coal Company and was associated with Sanger Bros. He later engaged in the collection and credit adjustment business, and prior to his retirement eight years ago was office manager of the L. Philipson Cigar Company. He was a 32-degree Mason. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in Sparkman's Funeral Chapel, 2115 Ross, with Dean Gerald G. Moore of St. Mathew's Episcopal Cathedral officiating. Cremation will follow. Pallbearers will be Dick Dixon, Robert A. Hall, Louis J. Hexter, Stephen S. Kahn, Howard J. Hill, and Henry McKay." (The Dallas Morning News, Dallas, Tex., 28 March 1958, pt. 4, p. 13, col. 5.)
