They had eight children; John Jackson Potter born Oct. 17, 1839, Abner James Potter born Oct. 10, 1841, Jesse Potter born Sep. 30, 1843, Allen Potter born Jan. 1, 1846, William Daniel Potter born Apr. 23, 1848, Cordelia Winford Potter born Jul. 29, 1850, Julia Ann Potter born Oct. 30, 1852 Needham Tyndall Potter born Apr. 7, 1855.
