Mattie L. Denny, 89, of Greensboro, NC, and formerly of Toledo, OH, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2006, in Greensboro. Mattie was a long and active member of the Toledo Garden Club and had served as a former club president. She also enjoyed oil painting. Mattie was the widow of William E. McCown and is survived by her daughter, Debra (Ronald) Metzger; sons, Michael (Janice) and Kenneth (Hazel) McCown; brother, Pat Wolfe; 9 grandchildren and 11 greatgrandchildren. Mattie was preceded in death by her sisters, Clara Rattray and Mary Floyd and brother, Howard Wolfe. Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St. Sylvania, on Monday, April 17th from 11 a.m. until the Funeral Ceremony begins at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
