"Oakwood (CNS)--Homer Wolfe, 71, of 926 Belton Dr., Danville, died at 4:45 a.m. today (May 25, 1963) at Lakeview Memorial Hospital. He had been in ill health four years. A native of Danville, Mr. Wolfe was born July 12, 1891, the son of Len and Martha Bonnett Wolfe. He was married to Ann Madsen April 14, 1915, at Fort Dodge, Ia., and she survives. Other survivors include two sons, Howard H. of Silver Spring, Md., Pat Wolfe of Covington, Ind.; three daugthers, Mrs. Mattie McCown of Toledo, Ohio, Mrs. Clara Rattray and Mrs. Mary Ellen Floyd, both of Gary, Ind.; and 15 grandchildren. Mr. Wolfe was preceeded in death by a sister. A cement finisher by trade, Mr. Wolfe had lived in Danville since September, 1962, but prior to this had made his home in Oakwood for 14 years. The body is at the Johnson Funeral Home in Oakwood, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Norman Wells will officiate, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday afternoon and evening." DANVILLE COMMERCIAL-NEWS, 25 May 1963.
