James A. "Jim" Countryman, 77, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2014, after an extended illness. Jim was born in Minneapolis, MN, to Martin H. (Jim) and Delores Countryman.

Jim served in the Navy and was based at Pensacola Naval Air Station when he met his beloved wife, Barbara. He retired from St. Regis Paper Company, now Stone Container.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents and his only son, Anthony J. (Tony) Countryman.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Barbara; sister, Amy Blume (Ken); two daughters, Vicki Countryman LeMaster (David) and Kimberly Countryman Marshman (Mason); five grandchildren, Jeremy T. LeMaster (Tracy), Shannon LeMaster-Smith (Jonathan), Karla Mitchell (Jerrv), Kacey Johnson (Steve) and Kristen Countryman; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Emerald Coast Hospice for their dedication and wonderful care throughout this time, especially his nurse Olga and assistant, Margaret.

Graveside memorial will be at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Barrancas National Cemetery.

Trahan Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Emerald Coast Hospice.
