Hannah married a widower with seven (7) children, James Blake Sr. originally from Armagh County, Ulster Province, Northern Ireland immigrated to Canada in 1829. Widow Blake, age 43, was residing in McKillop Township, East Huron County, Southern Ontario Province, Canada. At the time of their marriage, Hannah Lee age 29 was residing in Hullett Township, Clinton Town, Huron County, Ontario Province, Canada. They were married May 10, 1870 in the Village of Clinton, Huron County, Ontario, Canada.
Hannah and husband James would move to Albemarle Township on the Indian Peninsula jutting into Lake Huron (one of the Great Lakes of North America. James Blake Sr. was a farmer and he purchased a farm in South Bruce County in the area of Wiarton/Colpoy's Bay, Ontario Province, Canada. Hannah's parente, James Lee and Thomasin June also lived in Albemarle Township.
In her marriage to James, Hannah became a caring step mother to his seven children. She bore his another 4 children in the home in Albemarle. Thomasena "Sena" Blake born July 5, 1871. (Thomasena would become Mrs. ALbert Edward Biggs and bear 6 children of her own); Henrietta "Etta" Blake born May 11, 1873 (Henrietta would marry twice. First to Edward R. Davies Sr.; but when widowed while carrying his 2nd child, Henrietta would marry again to Oscar Weeks bearing him 4 children for a total of 6 children); Mary Hannah "Hannah" Blake born Apr 21, 1876 (she would marry a Scotsman to become Mrs. Thomas James Blake and bear him 4 children); and Fredrick Lee Blake born Sept. 28, 1879 (Fredrick would marry Ellen Elnore Glomop and have 3 children.
Hannah was ill six weeks with lung disease, heart disease & dropsy, prior giving birth to Fredrick. Hannah passed away 24 hours after the birth of her son on September 30, 1879.
She was buried in Colpoy's Bay Cemetery at Edgehill Cemetery, 239-249 Bruce Road 9, Wiarton, North Bruce Co., Ontario, Canada. In 1883, less than 4 years after her death, her husband James left Canada to seek a new start and make a home on the West Coast of the United States. In 1887 he had a homestead and a farmhouse on the Island of Lopez in the Salish Waters of Puget Sound. There on one of the San Juan Islands off the coast of Washington State, her children were moved to live, marry and bear their children as citizens of the United States of America.
