Mrs. F.C. Petersen - Hampshire
Mrs. F.C. (May) Petersen, 80, of Hampshire, died Wednesday in Sherman Hospital, Elgin, following an extended illness.
Born April 8, 1891, in Hampshire, the daughter of Edwin and Helen Wright Maynard, she resided in Hampshire her entire life. She married Fred C. Petersen Oct. 23, 1912.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hampshire, the Martha Circle of WSCS of the church, White Cross Camp 117 RNA of Hampshire and the Hampshire Women's Club.
Surviving are one son, Maynard of Hampshire; two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband in 1968.
Funeral services were held Friday in the Fredrick Funeral Homes, Hampshire, the Rev. J. Ernest Thompson officiated. Burial was in Hampshire Center Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for the American Cancer Society.
