Harris was born on Jan. 9, 1918 in Braddock, the son of Olmstead and Ida (Mason) Adams. In 1919, he moved to a farm south of Steele with his family where he grew up and attended school. Harris met and married Evelyn Gray on Nov. 12, 1938. They ranched south of Steele until they retired and moved to Steele in 1991. He served on the F.H.A. board in Kidder county, he was on the Presbyterian church board, on the Golden Manor Nursing Home board and served two terms as Kidder County Commissioner.
Harris was a loving father, husband, grandfather, uncle and he will be greatly missed by all.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; one son, Bill, Steele; one daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Jerry Kurath, Bismarck; his grandsons, Rick, Scott and Travis; his brothers, Wade, New Mexico, Eugene, Tappen and Tom, Medora; and his sisters, Ruby Pitzen, New Mexico, Grace Hanson, Fosston, Minn., and Jo Ellen Aichele, Steele.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Lee and infant sister, Laura Mae.
