Helen Dorothy (Sorenson) Sibert, 74, of Ottawa, died Monday evening, Sept. 3, 2001, at St. Margaret's Hospital in Spring Valley.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Gladfelter Funeral Home in Ottawa. The Rev. Tim Johnson, of Bethel Lutheran Brethren Church, will officiate.Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park in Ottawa. Serving as pallbearers will be Wesley Linton, Andrew and Robert Chase Jr., James and Jeffery Emm, and Ryan Norris.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Born April 19, 1927, in Brookings, S.D., she was the daughter of Carl and Remoor Camila (Marker) Sorenson.
She is survived by daughters, Judy Bottoms of Peru and Linda (Mrs. Michael) Fletcher of La Salle; a son, Robert E. (Dee) Chase of Utica; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Emm; a sister, Ethel Ross; brothers, Howard C., Melvin J. and Roy J. Sorenson Sr.; and a great-granddaughter.
She was retired from the La Salle County Nursing Home as a dietary aide.
She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Brethren Church.
Memorials may be directed to a charity of the donor's choice.
