Born Thursday, August 30, 1923, in Lanett, Alabama, Mr. Talley was the son of the late William A. Talley Sr., and Mary Hancock Talley. He was married to Dorothy Pitts Talley for 57 years and was preceded in death by her along with his sisters, Mildred Barney and Dorothy McKee. Mr. Talley proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Madison during World War II. He came home to marry his bride Dorothy, a school teacher in Lanett. He graduated from Auburn University School of Pharmacy and worked as a local druggist and a drug rep for Pfizer until his retirement. He was a lifetime member of Auburn University Alumni Association. Mr. Talley was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in West Point and served as a lay reader there. Mr. Talley loved playing golf, often with friends in West Point and Auburn. He enjoyed bird hunting and raised hunting dogs.



Mr. Talley is survived by one nephew, William Hayes and his wife Virginia of Valley, Alabama; three nieces, Dorothy M. Franco and her husband, Kildere of the Dominican Republic; Louise T. Rosinski and her husband Klaus of Gulf Breeze, Florida; and Brenda P. Perkins and her husband Clyde of Prattville, Alabama; and several great nieces and nephews.
