Bridget was born Nov. 2, 1929 in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Catherine Pluma Rogenski, and was a lifelong area resident.
Mrs. Carissimi was a member of St. Dominic Church in Youngstown, and worked at various times in her life for the State Theater, Kresge’s and McCrory’s. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed watching baseball and bowling. She loved to polka and enjoyed watching the “Wheel of Fortune” on television.
But most of all, she was a wonderful homemaker who loved her husband and children very much. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Bridget leaves her husband, Sam Carissimi, whom she married April 24, 1953; a son, Samuel Carissimi; a daughter, Sandra (Stephen) Bialik; a sister, Virginia (Ronald) Taffaria; and a brother, Martin (Barbara) Rogenski, each of Youngstown.
Besides her parents, two brothers, Benjamin and Raymond Rogenski, are deceased.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Road in Youngstown.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 9:45 a.m. at the funeral home, and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Dominic Church.
