L. Faye (Everts) Mentzer, age 76 of Greencastle, PA passed away peacefully in her home at 12:55 PM Friday, November 7, 2014.

Born August 5, 1938 in Chambersburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Merle G. and Hylda A. (Sipes) Everts. She married Dick Mentzer on January 14, 1956 in Louisville, KY. He died on October 26, 2010.

She worked at the former Regency Thermographers of Waynesboro and also at the former Stanley Co. of Chambersburg.
Faye was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Greencastle where she helped in making quilts with the Hands of Love Quilters. In her younger years she played the accordion and electric bass in her family’s music group. She enjoyed making various crocheting crafts.

Surviving family are one daughter Melody Mentzer of Greencastle, two sisters, Linda M. Murray and husband Richard of Greencastle, Juanita K. Everts of Lemasters, PA, number of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday November 12 at 10:00 AM from the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle with Pastor Lowell Mentzer officiating. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery McConnellsburg, PA . The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6 – 8 PM.
