William Cyrus Doty, 57, of 505 Fourth Ave., formerly a laborer, died Sunday at a local hospital. He had resided in Peoria 25 years.
Born in Mt. Vernon, Ill., June 22, 1896, he was a son of Isaac C. and Alice Stevens Doty. He married Marie Ebert April 1, 1920.
Surviving are his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Betty Stolin and Mrs. Ethel Whited, both of Peoria, Mrs. Catherine Thompson, Lone Pine, Calif. and Mrs. Edna Rentsch, Germantown; three sons, William C. Doty Jr., Peoria and George R. Doty in the U.S. Army in Japan; and two sisters, Mrs. Edna Norman, Ottawa, and Mrs. Clara Britton, Albuquerque, N.M.
Interment will be in Springdale Cemetery.
