FUNERAL OF MR. RICHARD ANGEL.
The high esteem entertained for the late Mr. Richard Angel, whose death occurred during Monday night, after an extended illness, was shown in an unmistakable manner by the large attendance at his funeral on Wednesday afternoon. By the time the cortege reached the cemetery, it totalled about 60 vehicles, and included leading residents of the town and district. The remains were interred in the Church of England portion of the cemetery. Rev. A. E. Coote, B.A., the acting rector, conducted the burial service. The coffin was borne by six sons of the deceased, viz., Robert, Herbert, Albert, Arthur, Alfred, and Ridley Angel, and an exceptionally large number of floral tributes were laid on the grave. Messrs. Hoye and Colbeck carried out the arrangements.
