Mr. Curtis O'Neal Jordan, Sr., age 84 of Frisco City, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Monroe County Hospital. Mr. Jordan, was born in Akron, Ohio and had been a resident of Monroe County for 82 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Frisco City where he taught Sunday School for over 60 years. Mr. Jordan, a Korean War Veteran, served in the United States Air Force from September 18, 1950 to September 2, 1954. While in the Air Force, he earned the rank of Staff Sergeant and was head communication clerk. He was also a member of the American Legion. Mr. Jordan started his working career as a shipping clerk for Frisco Manufacturing. He owned and operated a chemical and fertilizer business for several years and farmed for many years. He is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Melton Jordan.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Jordan of Frisco City; his children, Anita Watson and husband H.L. of Evergreen, Sandy Cauley and husband Ronnie of Brewton and O'Neal Jordan and wife Debi of Frisco City; his sisters, Trevis Snyder of Excel and Maxine Welch of Excel; six grandchildren, Todd Watson, Heather Watson Walton, Lauren Cauley Adams, Jordan Cauley, Neal Jordan and Dallas Jordan; and seven great grandchildren, Todd Watson, Jr., Anna Watson, Harrison Walton, Kylee Walton, Collin Walton, Harper Adams and Holden Brabner.

Funeral services will be Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church of Frisco City with Rev. Mark McCullough and Dr. Pete Dunn officiating. Burial will follow in Monroe Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Monroeville with military honors. Visitation will be Friday, November 7, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The family request that donations be made to the Pilots for Christ, Post Office Box 707, Monroeville, Alabama 36461.
