IRON RIDGE - Allen F. Schmoldt, 76, of 117 Main St., Iron Ridge, died Tuesday, April 19, 1994 at his home.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, April 23, at 11 a.m. at United Church of Christ, Lowell. The Rev. Carol Lange will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery, Lowell.
Mr. Schmoldt was born on March 25, 1918 in Lowell, the son of Frederick and Delia (Soldner) Schmoldt. He married Merle Norenberg on Oct. 20, 1938 [sic - Oct. 22] in Lowell. He was raised in the Lowell area and moved to Iron Ridge in 1945 where he farmed until 1968 and worked at the Iron Ridge Inn until his retirement in 1983. He was a charter member of the Iron Ridge Gun Club and the Iron Ridge Fire Department.
Survivors include two sons, Ralph (Elaine) Schmoldt, Helena, Mont., Billie (Sandra) Schmoldt, Wausau, Wis.; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; his mother, Delia Schmoldt, Reeseville; one brother, Corliss (Evelyn) Schmoldt, Watertown; four sisters, Alice (Robert) Schoenwetter, Beaver Dam, Lorraine (Gerhardt) Kulke, Reeseville, Eva Schmoldt and Gladys Schmoldt both of Reeseville; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father; his wife in 1988; one sister.
Friends may call at the Cottrill Funeral Home, Mayville on Friday, April 22, from 6 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday, April 23, from 10 a.m. to the hour of service at the United Church of Christ, Lowell.
