MRS. HENRY DIELEMAN

Elizabeth Van Ommen, daughter of Barend Van Ommen and Dirkie Fran?s?e?n, was born May 25, 1880, in Heerde, Gelderland, the Netherlands. She departed this life on Thursday, December 6, 1956, having attained the age of 76 years, 6 months and 11 days.

On March 29, 1905, she was united in marriage to Henry R. Dieleman who survives. She also leaves her brother, Dick Van Ommen of Oskaloosa, and two sisters, Mrs. Nick Bogaards of Des Moines and Mrs. Ben Vogelaar of Pella.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister, Johanna, a brother John in childhood, her brother Gerrit Van Ommen, and three sisters, namely Anna, Mrs. Sam Verrips; Dora, Mrs. Hubert Van Gilst; Johanna, Mrs. Dieles Vander Wal.

She made profession of her faith in Jesus Christ in 1904 and was a faithful member of the Third Reformed Church as long as her health permitted.

Mrs. Dieleman had been a patient at the Bethesda Sanatorium in Denver, Colorado, for the past year where her husband is also being cared for.

Funeral services were held on Monday. December 10, 1956, at 1:00 p.m. from the Third Reformed Church, preceded by a brief service at the Van Dyk-Duven Funeral Home. The Rev. Russel J. Pedeker officiated. Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery Hymns at the service were "He Hideth My Soul" and "What a Friend" by Mrs. Arnold De Bruin and Mrs. Carl Vogelaar, nieces of the deceased. Organist was Marlene Dykstra. Casket bearers were nephews D. G. Van Ommen, John Van Arkel, Clayton Uitermarkt, Lawrence Bogaard, Carl Vogelaar, and Elmer R. Vander Waal. The Rev. Wm. C. De Jong officiated at the cemetery.
