Mona had moved with the family from Utah to California in the mid 1930's.
She attended schools in San Francisco.
She met and married Thomas Edward Smith
[1926 – 1995] in 1952. They lost a set of twin boys who were in their first trimester of gestation.
Mona was trained as a sales associate and worked at the concessions in many of the upscale movie theaters in San Francisco including the Golden Gate Theater.
She gave many free tickets to her family in friends including me and my brother to attend great movies.
When I was a child and a teen I used to stay with Aunt Mona and Grandma Ethel at Russian River resort in Sonoma county, California for Aunt Mona's vacation. The other Aunts and Uncles and cousins would all meet there and rent cabins at the same time. It was a wonderful reunion for the family, most of which lived in San Francisco at the time of the late 1950's and the 1960's. The last time I remember us all going was in 1966.
Aunt Mona loved kids and she babysit often for her nieces and nephews. She was a kind loving woman who gave generously of her time and love. Buried Cypress Lawn Memorial Park, Garden/Building WS-ACACIA Death 11/21/1980
