Charlotta Sue Patton, of Dayton, died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000, at Rhea Medical Center in Dayton. She was 52.
Born Aug. 31, 1948, in Clinton, Tenn., Mrs. Patton lived in Dayton for the past 26 years. A high school graduate of the Tennessee School for the Deaf, she attended two years of college at the Cooper Institute in Knoxville. Retired from Volunteer Life Insurance, Mrs. Patton was a housewife and a member of Moran Baptist Church in Clinton.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ernestine Hamilton.
Survivors include her husband, Willie F. Patton Jr. of Dayton; daughter, Constance R. Thurman of Dayton; sons, Anthony and Jeff Anderton, both of Knoxville, and Keith Dawes of Alabama; father, Glenmore Hamilton of Clinton, Tenn.; sisters, Glenda Anderson of Clinton, Tenn., and Linda Dawes of Alabama; brother, Jerry Hamilton of Clinton, Tenn.; grandsons, Brett Thurman, Coltin Anderton and Jeff Anderton Jr.; granddaughter, Priscilla Anderton; and several brothers- and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted today at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Vanderwall Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Mayfield and Sister Opal Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Rhea Memory Gardens in Dayton. Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton is in charge of the arrangements
