He was a photographer and artist whose creative work gave expression to his experiences as a survivor of the Holocaust.
He was director of the Audiovisual Department of Orthopaedic Hospital, finding pioneering diagnostic uses for photographic techniques. Alfred Benjamin is survived by his wife of 74 years, Selma Benjamin; his children Roberta Benjamin Edwards, Alphonse Edwards, Wendy Smith Meyer, and Barry Meyer; his grandchildren Rebecca Smith Henning, Alex Henning, and Jacob Benjamin Smith; and his great-grandchildren Marlowe Jane Henning and Israel James Henning.
Funeral services will be at Hillside Memorial Park on Monday, November 3rd, at 12:00 noon.
