George Hendry, 77, died Saturday at his home in Roslyn. He was born November 7, 1899 in Roslyn. He worked as a miner for Northwest Improvement Company for many years. His wife Katherine preceded him in death in September 1975. He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America.
Survivors include one son, George Hendry of Bellevue; one daughter, Mrs. Jean Getz of San Jose, California; eight grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Agnes Melbourne of Yakima, Mrs. Jean Galrick of Los Altos Hills, Calif., and Mrs. Margaret Darby of Black Diamond.
Funeral was today at Brown's Funeral Chapel in Cle Elum. The Rev. James Kutz officiated and burial was to follow in the Polish Cemetery in Roslyn.
