Henry Monroe Barrick died Monday morning at the Lewistown Hospital where he had been a patient since early in October. He attained an age of 24 days in excess of 66 years. Death resulted from Carcinonia. He is survived by his widow, Lydia Winter Barrick, and their daughter, Rebecca Catherine Barrick, a member of the faculty of the Huntingdon High School. The home of the Barrick family is at 529 Valley Street, Lewistown. Two brothers also remain, George W., of Altoona, and David N., of Canton, Illinois..

By occupation, Mr. Barrick was a miller. He became well and widely known in Huntingdon and Centre counties as well as in Mifflin county, through his trade relationships, having Huntingdon Furnace, Alexandria, Centre Hall, Reedsville, Belleville, Mount Rock, and Maitland..
Mr. Barrick was a marked personality among the members of Trinity Reformed Church, who repeatedly set him apart to serve in the office of Elder. In this capacity he went as representative of the local congregation to the 70th annual meeting of West Susquehanna Classis, at Centre Hall, last May. He was especially active in the counsels and work of the Sunday School class taught by Arlanda Meriz..
The funeral arrangements include a public assembly in Trinity Church at 9 o'clock, Thursday morning. December 2nd, with interment in the Presbyterian cemetery at Alexandria, to which place the funeral party will proceed by automobile immediately after the ceremonies in Trinity Church..
