He was born Monday, November 21, 1921 in Decherd, the son of the late Berry and Ella Lowery Bennett. He was employed by S & T Auto Parts. He served in the Army and was a Veteran of World War II. He was a member of Winchester Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Mr. Bennett was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Bean Bennett, sisters, Marie Gipson and Mildred Summarell and brother, Guiles Bennett. Surviving are sons, Mike (Karen) Bennett of Fayetteville, TN and Mark (Kathy) Bennett of Winchester, TN.; four grandchildren, Mary Alison Bennett, Kennedy Davis, Martin Bennett and Scott Bennett. A Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday at Moore-Cortner Chapel with the Rev. Jonathan Clark officiating. Interment will be in Franklin Memorial Gardens, Winchester, TN. Serving as pallbearers are Mike Panter, Davis Mason, Dan Sidley, Bryan Johnson, Tom Mahler, Don Bean and Chris Brown.
