GEORGE JACOB DESCHLER was born on Wednesday, 25 Oct 1837 in the tiny village of "Mühlhofen, Canton of Bergzabern, Region of Landau in the Pfalz, Kingdom of Bavaria." George Jacob's father, Johann Friedrich Deschler, dutifully walked to Jacob Windrig's office, the Burgermeister, the next day to report the birth

Today this is in the German Federal State of Rheinland-Pfalz, but we must remember there was NO "Germany" in 1846; it wasn't until 1871 that the German Empire was created.

[In 2014, the house in which Valentine was born was still in Mühlhofen, which has been annexed by the larger Billigheim-Ingenheim. Also in 2014, the address of the "Deschler" house was Oberdorfstraße 37, 76831 Billigheim-Ingenheim, Bundesrepublik Deutschland / Federal Republic of Germany.]

George was the third of eight children born to Johann Friedrich Deschler and Johann's wife, Katharina Reuther. On 29 Oct 1837 his parents had him baptized in the "Evangelische Kirche, Billigheim, Pfalz, Bavaria.

No further records have been found on him. No record of emigration to America has been found. No German marriage or death record has been found.

Unless proven otherwise, it is assumed that this George lived and died in Mühlhofen, in the Pfalz of Bavaria.
