He was born January 16, 1941 in Bright, IN the son of the late Wilbur L. and Doris M. Reed Rea.
He accepted the Lord at Garrison Creek Baptist Church in 2008. Donald was employed for 25 years with D & M. He had also been self employed as a carpenter and contractor.
He enjoyed walking and fishing with grandchildren, story telling and dinosaur hunting. He was a member of the Moose Lodge.
He is survived by two daughters and one son in law, Buffie Rea, Laurel; and Tiffaney and Richard Fish, Connersville; two sons and one daughter in law, D.J. and Lucy Rea, Laurel; and Dustin William Rea, Rushville; one brother James Rea, Laurel; four sisters, Minnie & Ray Farrell, Connersville; Violet & William Joliff, Brookville; Edna & Glen Tuggle, Laurel; Louella & Harold Metcalf, Metamora; grandchildren Alisha Rea Wells and husband Brandon; DJ Rea II; Jesse Bottoms; Brittany Fish; Zackery Rea; Emilee Rea; Douglas Fish; Mercedes Tanner; and Raymond Fish.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a son Douglas Rea and a brother Wilbur Rea.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Garrison Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Fluty officiating. Burial will be in Laurel North Cemetery.
