Donald was born June 8, 1935 in Alpine, Arkansas. He was the son of the late Dock E. and Ruby Still Buck.
Donald served his country in the Army from 1954-1956, where he earned a sharp shooter award. In 1984, after owning a barber shop in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, Donald moved to Kilgore, Texas to take over Buck’s Barber Shop for his brother E.W. Buck. Donald truly loved his profession and each of his customers. Donald was a member and Deacon of Highland Park Baptist Church in Kilgore.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers, Dock E. Buck Jr., Thomas Buck, and Ronald Neal Buck and one sister Julia Francis and her husband R.W. Francis.
He leaves behind his wife of 55 years, Willie Buck; son, David Buck and his son Nick; daughter, Mitzi and her husband Steve Hartfiel; one grandson; one sister, Margaret and her husband William Key; brothers, E.W. and his wife Joyce Buck and Elwin and his wife Ruby Buck; and sister- in- law, Carmen Buck; and by numerous nieces and nephews who lovingly called him “Uncle Duck”.
