Susan Jean Love, 63, of Bristol, Va., was serenaded by angels on Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at Grace Healthcare in Abingdon,Va. with family by her side. She was born in Bristol, Va. on March 2, 1951, a daughter of the late Carl and Mabel Harkleroad. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Harkleroad; and sisters, Dorothy Price and Vickie Harkleroad. She was employed by American Realty for several years and a friend to many at Leisure Park Towers. Susan is survived by her sons, Daniel Bryan and wife, Tracey of Bristol, Tenn., and Allen Bryan and wife, Jessica of Bristol, Va.; grandchildren, Zacharie Bryan, William Bryan, and Kaitlyn Bridgeman; brothers and sisters, T.J. Harkleroad and wife, Charlotte, Allen Harkleroad and wife, Annette, Ronnie Harkleroad and wife, Ester, Jimmy Harkleroad and wife, Charlotte, Fred Harkleroad and wife, Brenda, Josie Lee Tripplett and husband, Sam, Margaret Shelley and husband, Dillard, Melvie Duggar and husband, Jim, Scarlett Sells and husband, Mike, and Carlene Harkleroad; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Marcella Suntato, Dorothy Woods, and Wiley Vanover. The family would like to thank all of her caregivers over the last year and a special thank you to Dr. Vardhana and Nurse Cathy, Caris Healthcare, and Grace Healthcare. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2014, at Blevins Funeral and Cremation Services, 417 Lee St., Bristol, Va. The funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Steve Playl and Pastor Stan Anderson officiating. The committal service and inurnment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery, Bristol, Tenn.
