Coryne Emma (Blankenship) Leewright was born on August 27, 1926 in Bokchito, OK to Lewis and Alvis V. (Wiley) Blankenship and passed from this life to join her husband Paul in Heaven on October 28, 2014 at the age of 88 years, 2 months and 1 day.
Coryne attended school at Banty and Achille and later married Paul Leslie Leewright on November 4, 1950 in Clovis, New Mexico. They moved to Stinnett, TX where she worked for 17 years as a lab technician for Phillips Petroleum. When their son was grown, Coryne went to work as a janitor for Phillips School for 12 years where she made many friends. She and husband Paul moved to Bryan County in June of 2013 with their son and daughter in law. Coryne was a member of the Victory Baptist Church in Stinnett and she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, gardening and garage sales.
Coryne was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Leslie Leewright; parents, Lewis and Alvis Blankenship and brother, Lewis Junior Blankenship.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Bokchito Cemetery with Bro. Marlin Blankenship officiating.
