Rachel Yvonne (Hogge) Jordan passed away on 29 October 2014 after an 11-year battle with Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

She was a Gloucester, VA native living in Gurley, Madison Co., AL with her husband, Earl E. Jordan.

Rachel was preceded in death by her parents, Norman Edward Hogge and Alberta Dorothy (Bertie) Newton, brothers, Eugene and Nathan, and a sister, Rheba Karen Hogge.

She is survived by her brothers, Robert and Wayne Hogge, her beloved husband, Earl E. Jordan, and step-sons, Earl E. Jordan, Jr. and Robert William Jordan.

Rachel was an accomplished Environmental Scientist. She was a 1972 graduate of Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia with a B.S. in Biology. Her job with The Earth Technology Corporation brought her from California to Huntsville; she stayed on with EDAW, Inc., later retiring from KAYA Associates, Inc.

Rachel was greatly loved by her many friends and family. She would like to say thank you to Dr. Dang and his wonderful staff for their excellent care that they gave to her.

Visitation for Rachel was held on Sunday, 2 November 2014 at Spry Funeral Home in Huntsville; the service followed at 5:00.
