He is survived by his wife, the former Lela Cupit, Baker; seven sons, Ed, Virgil, Winford, Tommy Ray, Louis Earl and Martin Rainwater, all of Baker, and James Rainwater, Baton Rouge; two daughters, Mrs. Daisy Combre, Baton Rouge, and Mrs. Clara Rogers, Baker; two sisters, Mrs. Valley Smith, McComb, Miss., and Mrs. Oma Smith, Roseland; two brothers, Herbert Rainwater, Gillsburg, Miss., and Winford Rainwater, Brookhaven, Miss., and 24 grandchildren.
