She was united in marriage to her soul mate and love of her life, Frank James Adkins on June 5, 1965 who preceded her in death.
Wanda fought terminal illness for 20 years and was a true fighter. She loved her children and grandchildren very much and was an incredible mother and grandmother.
Wanda lived in Des Moines for 64 years and spending her final year in Savannah with her daughter.
She is survived by her children, Paula (Marty) Campbell, John (Amelia) Adkins, and Amanda (Brandon) Brawdy ; sister, Sonja Mauk; and grandchildren, Jordan Schultz, Kayla Schultz, Jessey Adkins, Kasey Adkins, Connor Brawdy, and Wyatt Brawdy.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Bryan Adkins, and brother, Harry Stuart.
