Early Life: Wayne was born to Alvie and Irene Rose on August 9, 1944, in Hamilton, Montana. He attended Corvallis Public School and graduated with the class of 1962.
Life's Work/Service/Interests: After attending Montana State University studying to be a Veterinarian for a time, he became a sawyer and was very skilled and quick in falling timber. On December 31, 1963, he married Orvilla "Orvie" Woods. They had two boys, Rob and Randy. They lived in Wisdom, Darby and Hamilton. Later, he started a fox farm in Stevensville, Montana, and learned the skills of making fur coats, hats and anything made of animal skins. His coats were beautiful and sold all over the United States. Wayne was an avid hunter taking many large elk and deer. He loved to go fishing, handing down his skills to his sons. He even successfully tried his hand at fishing in Mexico. After moving to Hamilton, he opened up Big Sky Designs, specializing in fur jackets and hats. Yorkies became another project and he raised and sold them. His garden was always large and well kept; he loved experimenting with grafting apple trees.
