Wilson was born in Pennsylvania. His parents were Wilson B Sr. and Elizabeth (Jasinski) Maitland. Wilson is said to have been married 4 times. I have found Rebecca Hall and Minnie C Vanderpool as two of his wives. There were two obits in the Belvidere Daily Republican and one said he had 14 children and the other one said he had 26 children. It is not known at this point which one is true.

He died at a logging camp near Portland, Oregon on Tuesday, March 24. His remains were brought back to Poplar Grove, Boone County, Illinois. To his son, Harry's house. Burial was in Poplar Grove Cemetery. *

He was to be buried by the side of the mother of his children. (Harry, John, Wesley, Wilson, Walter, Frank, Alfred and Hattie) This would be his wife, Rebecca Hall.*

There appears to be no record that he was buried at Poplar Grove, but his last wife was Minnie Vanderpool and she was still living in 1914.

As I continue to research it appears he was married to a Rebecca Hall and a Rebecca Curtis.

*There has not been any evidence of his actual burial in Poplar Grove.
