She was born August 10, 1940 in Campbell County, TN to the late Sherley and Edna Dossett Honeycutt of LaFollette. She was a member of the Oak Ridge Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Christie Gail Young Campbell; four sisters, Thelma Honeycutt Posey, Dorothy Honeycutt Millett, Nettie Honeycutt Hill, and Betty Honeycutt Brown; one brother, Sherley Honeycutt, Jr., in-laws, John L. and Myrtle D. Young; and brother-in-law, David D. Young.
Mrs. Young is survived by her husband, John Richard Young of the home; two sisters, Margie Honeycutt Watkins of Black Mountain, NC and Sherrie Honeycutt Forbus and husband Randy of King, NC; and many special nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family wishes to express many thanks to Gina Greeley, Kevin and Christie Brown, and Oak Ridge Church of Christ for all their love and support.
The family will receive friends Thursday, October 30, 2014 from 5 - 7 PM at Weatherford Mortuary. The funeral will follow at 7 PM with Murray Wade officiating. Family and friends will meet on Friday at 11 AM at Oak Ridge Memorial Park for a graveside service.
