DYERSVILLE, Iowa - Armella Huberty, 85, of Dyersville, died after a courageous bout with cancer Thursday, March 11, 1999, at Shady Rest Care Center, Cascade.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, with the Rev. Ray Atwood officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where there will be a parish scripture service at 4:30 p.m.
Mrs. Huberty worked at Peakenbrock Pajama Factory and was a waitress in the Home Cafe and the Driftwood Cafe. She also worked at Reicher Shoes for 13 years until her retirement.
She was born on July 3, 1913, in New Vienna, daughter of Clem and Frances (Freking) Luensmann. She married Cyril Huberty on June 8, 1937, in Dyersville; he died in January 1969.
Surviving are a son, Roger, of Dyersville; a daughter, Sharon (Ron) Singsank, of Dyersville; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four sisters, Arline DeFlieger, of Dyersville, Nellie Drummy, of Ryan, Anita Sylvanus, of Dubuque, and Lucy Giomio, of Naperville, Ill.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Helen Richman.
