Torbrook Mines - Robie Anthony Barteaux, 55, Welland, Ont., formerly of Torbrook Mines, N.S., died on April 30, 1974. Born in Torbrook Mines he was the son of the late Kenneth Barteaux and Nellie (Crouse) Barteaux. He was an automobile mechanic and attended the United Church of Canada. Surviving are his mother; his wife, the former Grace Banks; one daughter, Betty (Mrs. James Christian), Welland, Ont.; two sons, Phillip, Welland, Ont.; John, Welland, Ont.; two sisters, Donna (Mrs. Orley Strong), Niagara Falls, Ont.; Helen (Mrs. Alan Hatt), Niagara Falls, Ont.; two brothers, Haldane, Torbrook Mines; Kenneth Jr., Welland, Ont.; and eight grandchildren. He was predeceased by his father and one daughter. The body rested at the Warren T. Roop Funeral Home, Middleton, from where the funeral service was held on Friday, May 3, 1974, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Donald McLeod officiating. Interment was in Torbrook Mines, N.S.
