Mott T. Felts
Memorial services for Mott T. Felts, 91, of Weslaco, Texas, formerly of Waterloo, were Wednesday at John Knox Village Chapel, Weslaco.
He died of natural causes Sept. 25 at his home.
He was born Oct. 11, 1896, in Jesup, son of John Charles and Lucy Thayer Felts. He attended Iowa State University, Ames, and served in the U.S. Army during World War I.
He married Floy Newcomb Dec. 15, 1917, in Jesup. While living in Waterloo, he was purchasing agent for John Deere.
Survivors include his wife of 1300 S. Border Ave., Weslaco Texas 78596; a daughter, Alene Stong of Harlingen, Texas; and seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; he was preceded in death by a son, LeWayne; and two sisters, Delight Miller and Mabelle McKibben.
