Early in life he moved to Montpelier. After graduating from Montpelier High School, he enlisted in the United States Army Air Force and was stationed in the Aleutain Islands during World War II. After being honorably discharged from the military, he returned to Montpelier, Idaho and married Lucille Kunz. Together they opened Talbot Oil Company. After 40 years in business, they retired and moved to St. George, Utah. During 68 years of marriage they had 4 children; son, Michael (Mary Lou) Talbot, daughter Jane (Don) Stoddard, son Jeff (Leslie) Talbot, and son Glenn Richard Talbot.
He loved to golf, garden and gather unusual rocks for landscaping. He is a member of the LDS Church and enjoyed working in the temple. Glen was preceded in death by his wife Lucile, son Glenn Richard, granddaughter Jill, his parents, 6 brothers and 4 sisters.
He is survived by son Michael (Mary Lou), daughter Jane (Don), and son Jeff (Leslie), 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 23rd, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Montpelier, Idaho Cemetery.
