"Funeral services for Mr. J. D. Lewis, 80, of Route 2, Buckholts, were held Tuesday at 10:oo a.m. at St. Monica's Catholic Church with Rev. Louis Pavlicek officiating. Burial was in Corinth Cemetery.

Mr. Lewis died Sunday in his home and was a retired musician.

Mr. Lewis was born August 20, 1899, in Milam County.

Survivors include his wife, Ida Bell Lewis of Buckholts; one son, Doug Lewis of Houston; one daughter, Dorothy Gause of Gause; two brothers, F. D. Lewis and Leon Lewis, both of Fort Worth; two sisters, Mrs. Fay Love of Forth Worth and Mrs. Satsa Walschak of Buckholts; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron is in charge of arrangements."
